Steam from Radiator ?

seems im losing Water, and on Friday night on my way back home noticed the STOP sign flashin and temperature rising fast.. so switched off and free-wheeld to a lay-by..

noticed the water was down so topped it up

now this morning water gona down from Max to Min and steam from the Radiator ...

does that mean its busted ?
& what sort of price does it cost to fix

Sorry what does that mean henry? havnt got a clue with the radiator only that there 2 pipes goin in and out

if you've steam coming from the rad, sounds as though it's leaking from there - could be some sort of damage to the rad core (would need to inspect it carefully for damage to the fins, although they can fail (split) without showing damage to the fins)

Mine split and I replaced it yesterday

Stuff like BARS Seal can help plug it for a Temporary Fix BUT it will need changing ASAP

I had a pin hole sized pierce in my rad, used some radweld and it was fine.

Halfords, if it works then at least you've saved the cost of a new rad.
