why is it so rubbish??? lol

always seems to be problems with it. Ive now got a problem with a recently downloaded game where its saying the game is unavialabe. All the support team does is send you links to the support centre pages that Ive already looked up and fallowed to sort the probelm with no sucess.

Go into your steam folder and delete the Clientregistry.blob file. Used to fix issues like that as well as a few others.

Not had any problems myself with steam for a long time though to be honest.

I'd not used my account since Half Life 2 Ep2. When I tried to install it on my new PC a couple of weeks back I found my accound had been hacked. Some little fucker had been playing Counterstrike source with my login. He had a friends list and profile and even a comment he pwnd me.

I got the account back no problem, along with some b****cks from Valve about security etc. They're the ones who need a lesson in security. I'm now using a password some kid in Aus won't be able to hack so easily.

The cheeky little f**k even tried to add me as a friend once I'd got my account back.

ffs, when ever i try and run the game I get a valve client box up, click ok it then tries to update and then just comes up saying game unavailable

My account got hacked too a while back, fucker used it for a year too (shows how often I play stuff on Steam now)

Was a ballache to get my account back, but it now has super secure password

Jason - Steam's been s**t for a few weeks m8. Everytime I've gone on recently, it's either applied an update or takes ages to connect. Mind you, from doing a Speedtest.net run yesterday, I was down to 0.20MB download speed!

Steam is superb. It changed PC gaming for me. So many advantages, especially for someone who regularly reinstalls Windows. Automatic seamless patching. No need for secureROM bullshit.

I love it. I buy all my games over it wherever possible. However, I wish Valve would hurry up and make the next episode of HL2.
