Steering controls for stereo not working.

Any ideas?

It had been working fine up until recently but now, nothing I've not messed with it or had any work done and it's baffling and annoying me!

Any ideas??

If it's the little stalk that controls the stereo you can try a bit of WD40 on it and rotate the wheel/press the buttons to see if it frees up. If you have to remove it be careful as where it's attached can be easily broken (yes, I did that and had to glue it back in....I bought another since that hasn't been fitted!). If you take it apart, as I did, be careful with that, too. There's some bits that will fall out and are a tw&t to put back. The good news is that you can get it working again.

Sounds a nightmare to take apart that then! I'm not sure about that!

@Louis, all the stalk controls don't work, buttons on the radio work OK.

The light on the display has faded one side but think that down to the bulb going on it, replaced them a while back and was a PITA to do as you've got to take the whole bloody dash panel off as you all know!

Have you had a look behind the unit and checked the Connects2 module?
