Steering knocking?

Hey people, when i do a corner left or right turn i get this noise like thud thud thud but not loud, Its not loud enough to think there is a problem so i always thought it was nothing. but then my mate yesterday said whats that noise? i said ah its nothing its always been like that, is it meant to sound like that? he said no so what is it you guys think? and is it serious?

Sounds like a bottom ball joint? not to serious but is an MOT fail. Jack the front end up and give the wheel a wiggle with one hand on top of the wheel and other at the bottom and push + pull, one hand doin opposite to the other! If there is play then its most likely your ball joint!! Hope that helps.
