Steering Pivot Joint

Just had my car MOT'ed and it came back with just 2 advisories.

Nearside and offside steering pivot joints have slight play.

Can someone enlighten me as to what these are?

probably means the front strut top mounts. I wouldn't take much notice, seen the same kind of advisory with new mounts. They look strange when you turn the steering but that's normal

It's got K-tec top mounts Danny.

Unless they have got play in them?

they've used odd terminology to be honest. They might be refering to track rod ends I guess. I'd suggest taking it to someone that knows more about clios than the mot tester
