Steering rack mount

mad in general

Since doing my clutch kit I have noticed that I get a clicking noise coming from the steering rack location.

Can the rack be mounted incorrectly? All bolts are in and tight but I think something's not quite lined up properly.

Cheers!

I don't think I'll be much use on this, the rack mounts are in two halfs though.

Keep this up to date as It may be the cause of my issue too!

The rack mounts wrap around the rack, not really much scope to get them wrong TBH, but they do wear and they suffer badly if they get oil on them.

Cheers guys , I will get under the car tomorrow and have a poke around. So no chance of mis alignment of the rack? Just clamps on and bolted up?

The rack itself only fits in one place.

The wheel can be misaligned though if the spigot in the rack isnt orientated in line with it when it goes together (ie if the wheel has spun once more than the rack etc)

Cheers Chip, At least I know I can just torque them up and it will be located properly.
