steering wheel covered by warranty?

was wondering if the steering wheel is covered by warranty, mine has started to (well looks like it to me) rub away or even rot where I hold it on the right hand side (about the 2 o'clock positon).

Im guessing that would fall under 'wear and tear' which is not normally covered.

My wheel is still fine but it does have a crease forming in the leather at the top, about 12:10 which is annoying!

should be ok Under the fit for purpose thingy? Mines dones 54k and only just started to show signs of wear.
