Steering wheel swap = airbag light...

Hi folks as per the title I swapped over the melted duff steering wheel to a nice snappy one today it's ace, however the airbag light is now on

I disconnected the battery for at least 25 mins before I swapped them and was careful with the wiring so anyone have any ideas as never had the light before

I had exactly the same recently on 2 of my clios and for strange reason I cleaned the wiring connector under the passenger seat and sorted both.

I'll nip out and have a play with that see if that helps but I thought it might be more related to air bag wiring in wheel I'll have a bash

I know it sounds strange but worked on mine.
Disconnect the plug and spray with brakes or carb cleaner DONT use wd40 as this doesn't dry properly.

Just an update took the airbag off yesterday and cleaned up all the connections etc. and the light is now off so happy days

Yea the connections are just classically French
