Steering wheel...

Car  Clio 172
It's not a problem I'm just been bugging me for a while. My 172 as far as I'm aware has a sport steering wheel but I don't have the rubber thumb grips they are leather with the stitching like the rest of the steering wheel?

I'll get a picture up as soon as I get my car from the garage this morning.

Cheers!

172 thumb grips are rubber not leather.

If you don't like that then see about getting it refurbished with a full leather cover.

EDIT I just re-read the post. If your wheel does NOT have rubber grips then it had been refurbished already. Not a bad thing because they were probably broken anyway. On my car the PO had replaced them with carbon fibre inserts.

It sounds like the steering wheel has been refurbished, the original material seems to melt and the rubbery thumb grips fall apart. I wouldn't complain if I was you!

If they've been refurbished then happy days! Haha! I just always wondered why they were like that.
