Stereo control stalk thing on a Valver

Hello!

My valver has got a panasonic head unit.

Because of this, my little stalk thing next to the steering wheel doesnt work. I gues its not even plugged in anywhere, its probably loose behind the head unit somewhere!

What make head unit do I need to get it to work? Do I need an original one?

and how do I plug it in? what sort of plug am I looking for.

Im sure Sony make an adapter for non-original head units. Dont know if it would work with yours though? Think the cost was around £30 when I enquired - I dont miss the stalk controls that much mind.

If its just sony then I doubt Ill bother, I dont like their current head units in my price range!

I bought a Pioneer DEH-77MP and got the steering wheel remote for about £20, I think the Autoleads price for the lead that would allow me to use the OEM Renault stalk was about £70. Pah!

Yeh, Ive got a little remote control thing for mine. looks pretty cool, but Im gonna be buying a new head unit soon, and was going to try and use the existing controls.

The pioneer remote is cool though!
