anyone know where i can buy the lead to connect my Pioneer head unit to my steering wheel controls?

yeah halfords... as good as any other!! either that or your local ICE shopll do it

i wanted other suggestions to halfords because i have already been there and know they dont do the lead that i need

what model is the headunit, alot of them dont have adapters availible for them, the 77mp and lower range models do though

same headunit as me, u wont get an adapter for it unfortunately i got the part that works with the lower spec pioneer units and it didnt work, nowhere to plug into

there is an alternative, the pioneer site lists part number for an infra-red adapter, so the steeringwheel remote connects to a transmitter and controls the headunit via IR - The only way ull get it to work.

no idea mate, it could be multiple parts, best thing to do is go to the pioneer site, then ICE, products, other then adapters, and download the pdf with the parts list, and search google for the part number, or phone up a local car shop with the part number. MCS-Direct (http://www.mcs-direct.co.ukwww.mcs-direct.co.uk) may well be able to order the parts in for you.

theres nothing on their website though that says the infra red adapter will work with the stereo i have got

the IR adapters will work with any pioneer headunit - they all have IR eyes on the front, u can see it if u hold the face up to the light and look at the top left hand corner of the face
