Sticking front (N/S) caliper

  Trophy #382
Right, i have had this for a while now and its really annoying me! Tried to sort but have failed :dapprove:

So, every now and then my N/S caliper slightly pinches the disk, usually after 15mins or so of driving. I know its binding as i doesnt roll with ease when coming to a stop. Drivers side is fine though.

I have DS2500's with brembo max discs, yes the pads have been filed, with an angle grinder ;). Fluid was changed was changed about 4 months ago and braided lines at the same time.

Every now and then at low speed there is a sort of vibration/pulsing of the brake pedal when you back your foot off? I put this down to it being french but has anybody else had this? Wasnt too sure if its related to it sticking or not?

My only other conclusion is that the caliper is knackered?

Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot

Sam

Easy to check. Take the caliper off and see if the sliders have seized and try and push the piston back. You will see if the dust boot looks gubbed then it will most likely mean the piston is seized. These calipers are a peice of pis5 to overhaul anyway and it should only cost you about £20.

Take the calliper off, push the piston out a bit. Wet and dry paper the piston and then clean it up with brake cleaner. Then copperslip it and push it back in.

That should fix it.
