sticking throttle

  Clio sport 200
My 09 plate RS200 seems to have a sticking throttle. It also kangaroos like a learner in 2nd gear frequently. Dealers have checked and say that it is due to emmissions control but if you ask me they are tallking bull****.
If I rev up in neutral it takes ages to die back down and generally it just doesn't feel right.:(

Or try a different dealer.

Give Renault Customer Services a call and get them involved.

they are designed to slow the throttle response down for EURO 5 emisions.

they dont shut the throttle fast for the same reason, they also have a large heavy flywheel that slows down the engine response.

its also a common complaint, that they have poor low down drivability and reponse...

SO you MAY have a normal car, however these things are certainly worth checking against someones elses car to see if it does the same.

perhaps goto a meet and see what others think?

if we can help at all give us a call

Take your points about revs dropping off slowly, trouble is in town you can't drive the way the car seems to want you to. Is worse in cold weather and on short journeys.

I am going to try the other demo RS and see if that is different.
