Sticky Clutch?!

My girlfriend has a mkI phIII clio, p reg and the above ^^! Its not the cable, we think, as a guy looked at the cable already on the car and said it was fine! What over possibilities are there?! The clutch comes up in 'blocks', instead of being smooth! Could it be the pedal itself!? Any help would be much appreciated!

Sounds like the clucth pedal ratcher is broke onlt £13 for a new one bit of a pain to replace. have a look at the deal you'll need to either sit upside down on the seat or fully open the door and get a torch to see whats going on . The teeth on the tensioner can wear out which causes this.

Mine used to do this when the mat was caught on it lol, could be a simple problem lol?
