Sticky oil pressure gauge!

Gauge didnt go up on start up today, then didnt go down without me tapping it a few times on both occasions. Bit of dial lubrication or what?

Whats the problem & howd i fix it? Cheers.

But then agian it could be fine for the next few weeks now! Bloody Renaults!

Mike mines the same mate! One week its fine, week later it plays me up so i tap it and it works ok for a few days! Drives me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i did used to drive a VW & absoulutly nothing goes wrong with them, so my 16v always drives me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your right there mike! I had a MR2 and it never ever went wrong and everything worked perfectly!

I do like the Valver though!

LOL Makes you wanna get out the sledge hammer though.

Its like owning a feckin time bomb this week; first clutch pedal loses tension, then outside temp light goes now this! Arent i hard done too?

Can i use paint thinners (white spirits) on the neddle to release any blockages that may be causing it?

Ill use switch cleaner on the contacts too but would imagine its some greese or sommat causing an obstruction. Cheers.

Mine is just as bad, and I have to keep tapping the bloody oil temp as well, drives me nuts...
