Sticky steering wheel

WHY is my 182 steering wheel sticky? (no smart a*se comments please:quiet: )

I've cleaned it, but it remains sticky all the time, and the top of it looks like a bit of saggy skin!

What can I do, Clio experts???

Mines the same. Its wearing away. My mrs decided to get curious and put Pledge on it and it made it very slippery....

There's alot of cows strewn across the French hillsides just melting to a saggy, crumbly mess. Evolution did not count on 'wear and tear.' Renault 1, Evolution 0.

That's so ghetto. I was in Elgin Renault yesterday and they were selling a Black Gold 182 with a steering-wheel on a par with that condition.

"It's a sport steering wheel, it's supposed to be like that."

Thanks for that advice. At least I know now. Dunno what I'm going to do about it though! Maybe a nice plastic one?

Mine has loads of small chunks missing out of it where the previous owners ring has been rubbing at it. (Cue an onslaught of comedy replies :rasp: ). Mine had only done 21000 when I got it too, the steering wheel looked like it was off something with at least three times that! I did lots of checking of mileage just to make sure it was genuine.
