Stiff clutch and steering??

Car  Monaco Blue 172 (56/468)
Just collected my car after body repairs and the clutch is as stiff as anything- the steering also felt like my old corsa which did not have power steering. Think my car has been sitting around for about a week while repairs were being carried out but is this normal for a car that hasnt been used that long!? Anyone else had their car in for repairs then got it back with similar problems!? Cheers.

Have you been driving a different car? When I drive my golf about for a bit then drive my clio it feels like the clutch is savage because they are quite heavy anyway.

Lol yeh i had a polo for a week which probly had the lightest clutch iv even used but still cant get over the steering. Maybe im just bein picky - it cant all be perfect!!

Its normal, after driving my girlfriends Suzuki which has a hydraulic clutch and electronic steering and then driving my 172 it feels well and truly broken.

Probably is just the difference between the two, I had a modus courtesy car with a mega light hydraulic clutch and silly light steering a few weeks ago and it was sooo wierd getting back in the Clio.
