Stiff shift?

Hi done some reading up on this as id like my gear changes to feel alot more precise . And take up the slack play.

I read on a thread that a guy yano does a stiff shift. How hard is this too fit ? Also what does it consist of? Cheers

Definitely worth getting IMO!

It's not too difficult to fit either. You need to drop the Cat out and then the gear stick out from under the car. It's pretty easy otherwise though and Yanoo is good with support.

I just fitted his complete fast road shifter, the plastic housing needs filed down slightly to fit, other than that its gear knob off, circlip out, slide everything out then new stick in, rebuild in reverse order.You can change just the stiff shift if you want or any of his products individually, he's a helpful guy and you will get guides on his site.

Yanoo is awesome with support.

As I found out make sure you're aware as detailed in the instructions which pivot ball you have. Later cars have a solid white one that doesnt require the insert. But this will become apparent when you begin stripping parts down.

Thats what I've done, takes some of the stress of having to do it all within a day if its your daily.

Agreed. It will take the pressure out of getting it all done in one day. I had my car off the road for a while when I did it so it wasn't a problem. But if you are unsure then I'd look for a spare from here.

Awesome bit of kit I fitted the stiff shift and brass bushes and the gearshift is much improved just make sure you fit it correctly and dont rush it as I did.
I couldn't get reverse properly after fitting the kit so I ended up that stripping it down again and found I fitted the reverse cable the wrong side of the stick so I wasnt getting enough lift for the reverse slider.
All good now though and as said Yanoo support is very helpful
