Strange electrical fault when braking

Hi all i have a 2004 clio sport 182 and when i brake the rear fog light symbol on the dash lights up but not bright. All the rear lights including the fogs work fine.
Has anyone came across this before?
Any help much appreciated, cheers John.

I had this on my old one. Never really looked into it much, but I believe it is to do with a bad earth somewhere! Normally near the rear light clusters

Plugs on rear lights as said, clean, tighten the pins all will be well!

yeah seems like a common fault my mate has the same problem on his 1.2 extreme 4,

cheers all,just finished tightening and cleaning all of it, checked the earth straps,its clean as a whistle but the problem is still there.Theres no loose wires and no rusty connections. IM PUZZLED???????????

clean the earth in the light unit multiplugs then replace... simples!

then you've not done it right and the pins have a poor contact still.
