Strange Idle

My idle seems a little fast when cold 1500 to 1600 rpm and needle a little erratic any ideas?

Surely cold idle is faster?

Yes. Mine's about 1200 when cold and it is lumpy, it splurts and splutters if you listen at the exhaust. Drops to about 600-750 or something close to that after a few minutes.

mines hitting 1500 when cold and eventually settling to 800 900 when fully warm but rev counter is a little twitchy?

lol, sounds perfectly normal to me.

It is a sports car at the end of the day, the cams are said to be quite wild as standard, how true that is I've no idea but it's normal to have a lumpy idle.

As long as it isn't stalling or nearly stalling it should be fine.

Its the unsteady needle which is only started happening recently

mines a f**king dynamique and does this. it has a sports front grille if this makes any difference. IIRC it adds like 10bhp
