Strange Induction noise.

Since wednesday this week my mk2 172 has been making a strange but nice noise, it sounds like i've fitted a induction kit, but i haven't :S

The car is standard, and now on just over 72,600 miles. Is it anythink to worry about, or am i just being paranoid

Only the back box, as it started to rain.

I'm bought the car on 46K and have no idea if this is the OE exhaust, so it may well be that

Can they fall out then?

I must admit it does sound better when booting her, and when motorway crusing at 70 it's the same as it's ever been.

check the airbox and elbow , might be loose or have a hole somewhere . is the noise from the front or rear ????

get someone to rev the engine whilst you have a look under the bonnet , see if you can see the problem , might be the airbox .

My car is like that and has been since I got it. I asked the same question before. Mine sounds like a little 1.2 with an induction kit kinda noise, and deffo induction noise. Have replaced the normal paper filter with a ITG one and its still the same.

I've already done that, and the airbox all seems fine, with no loose conections.
