strange noise when braking

Car  Clio
Over the last few weeks i've noticed a strange noise while braking.
It's a humming/buzzing sort of sound and happens for a second or two as i come to a stop.
I can't feel it through the pedal, and tends to happen more when braking hard.
Any ideas?

Interested in this. Mine does this too. But seems to only do it if I Brake a hit a bump in the road. And also does it when I first pull away when first getting in the car

Forgot to add that, always does it first thing when i first get in the car!

Check your rear brakes mate, often overlooked as they don't do as much work as the fronts. I discovered mine are worn out the other day after noticing a funny noise when pulling up.

I think both of ours is when pulling away.
And mine definitely sounds like its coming from the front of the car.

Mine grumbles and makes a rumbling sort of noise when i first drive the car but thats just because they are usually wet and are rubbing a little until they are used the first time.

Once they are used i dont hear the noise anymore, is yours the same?

It does it when first pulling away. And then when I'm braking and I hit a bump in the road. Get no noise any other time

Could be knackered rear exhaust mount?
I had weird noise and it was on the exhaust mount where the rubber had completely perished so the metal hangar was vibrating against the metal of the mount. That was intermittent..
Probs not but worth checking.

I have this with mine, its not the pads as they are fine its very bizarre i will look at the exhaust mounts, and maybe get them replaced.

Just been to see dan@519 for bits.
Diagnosed the front left shock on ktec coils has given up the go. So I'm guessing this could be a factor
