strange problem.

This only happened once and all is fine now but:

On my way to work this morning, my car died for about 3 seconds. Everything but the engine and radio went out. When everything came back on, it was as if i just started the engine, ie. the oil ok and all other lights that normally light up, came on and went off and i had controll of the accelerator again. The clock also reset itself, but the radio didnt.

I'm completely stumped as to how/why this happened....:S

Any ideas?

(battery is new btw)

My best guess is that the ecu re-booted itself, but im not very clued up on these....

they are on the battery. havent looked at the alternator end yet.
