Stripping rear drums

My missus' clio (1998 facelift 1.4) has a sticky rear drum when the handbrake has been on, on the N/S.

the first time it happened, i just pulled away hard to release it, and it worked. but it happened again while she was at work and had to get it on a recovery truck to get it home. i wanna strip it down tomorrow and give it a clean/ grease etc. is it easy to do?

is there anything else that could cause it to stick after the handbrake has been on?

thanks for the replies.

Yeh fairly easy, you have to replace the hub nuts and reset the handbrake alignment, should only take a day a max(allow for getting new parts if needed) the shoes could be stuck to the springs inside etc!

thanks for the reply, i just took it for a spin to release the drum but the ABS light keeps coming on - so its going into a garage today.

the shoes had sheared off the mountings and snapped, making it jam the drum up! both sides had done it! cost £47 for new shoes and fitting for both sides at kwik-fit :)
