Strut braces

  ex Clio 172 owner :(
Do these make much difference? I know they're supposed to help to prevent the car twisting and the suspension struts moving but are they worth it?

Is a rear one much use too?

Cheers.

got 1 on the front 2 ..........does make a difference much tighter on bends , not that expensive nowadays either ...........plus it looks smart in the bay

ummm way to much effort, does no one make one that fits onto that thread???

dont think so as u wont have much strength just on the threads ?:sleepy: best for u not to bother really

the cup race cars have a strut brace that is fitted as u said to the top mounts but its part of the suspension system they are running, u could try and get one and see how it fits/mod it to fit.

Don't try and attcah it to the thread you'dd tear the threads off the bolts which is very dangeous as the shcoks can fall out.
Rear one doen't do anyhting the front ones only useful on suspension modified cars but it does make a difference.

Is it neccessary to declare these on insurance? As what?

Cheers.
Yep any changes need to be decaliser on insuracne.
Say its suspension mods most places won't have any box to tick as such though so you might have trouble explaining it.
