Strut Top Stuck

Can't undo my strut top mount, won't budge for nothing. Snapped to allen keys and broke a rachet. Don't know what else to do, any suggestions will be much apprecciated.

Drive to a near by garage and ask for some one to give them a quick whizz on an air gun.

soak it in dwd40 and do it in the morning

RichCup did that and it still didn't work, I know every nut/bolt is different.

ah right. worked for mine anyway... probaly best taking it to a garage to get them to air gun it then!

Best to undo the strut top while the wheels are still on the floor, helps to stop the shocker from spinning

I've left it soaking in wd40 while I wait for the rain to stop, If I can find another allen key I'll try again, I can't really be arsed to put everything back together to drive to a garage. Thanks for your help.

Yer wish I had done. I've been following the guide in French Car Magazine they did a few months back and it said to leave the top mount till last.

Another idea is buying an electric gun, because they build up torque then snap with a rotational movment like an air gun.(run off cig lighter jack(

Never been tested though, just theory, but they are cheap to buy.

Theres a better product than WD40, used to use it at the porsche place I worked at. Cant remember the name but it came in a white aerosol, most motor factors sell it.
