Stubborn Water Marks!

  Clio mk3 1.2 Extreme
Got one of my mates at work to clean my car quick today as i was rushing but now looking at it has water marks all over it where it hasn't been dried quick enough. I've tried a damp microfiber, meguiers QD, polish, wax and they still wont budge.
If anyone can help would be a big thanks :)

^^ Yep as above. Have you got any Megs Last touch you can get your hands on??

Yeah gave it a couple more washes and they came out a bit better. Still a few stubborn ones but guess they will come out in time. And nah havent got any might get some on my next big order :).

Hang on, if you wash it they should disappear altogether, not get a little better :S

Are you able to post up some pictures? Water marks will come off with ease, these sound like something more sinister . . . !

I used sprite on a MF on my car which is mildly acidic which will remove them no problem, but will also remove any wax etc..

Random but anything mildy acidic will remove them

Could this be the reason..... He's stuck some polish and wax over it already so maybe he needs to strip it right back to bare metal and start again....Not sure if you can kind of seal the Watermarks underneath polish and wax??

Good call Andy, may be the reason they didnt disappear all together.

the QD and polish and in fact the action of putting wax on should have removed them . . . ! But I know what you are saying Andy.

OP, we need pictures to help fella, so as soon as you can mate.

Gave it another wash then thought i would give claying a go to see if that would work and it did a bit but it they were still there if you looked very carefully. So washed it all again and gave up really. But it rained last night and now they've all gone :S. Dont know what it was that was on it but it's all gone now :)
