Hi guys, if this is in the wrong place, or I'm not allowed to post links or anything just lemme know.

Saying this, I'm going out to look at a couple 182s today, and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the adverts and prices?

http://www.kingsgatemotorco.co.uk/u...renaultsport-182-3dr-bathgate-201327522527586 >>>> this one I have seen once, interior could do with a good scrub, looks like a few red paint marks on the drivers seat :)S)

Both seem to be plain 182s, but there isn't much choice up here in Glasgow. Contemplated a few visits down south to view a couple for sale on here, but the sheer cost of doing that a couple times could offset any gains pricewise.

So I'd love to hear your thoughts guys, any help is good,

David.

Loking at it the second one looks better and mentions full history. Normally find when garages don't mention any history there isn't much. As with any of these cars check the history and make sure the Cambelt has been changed. Further more make sure it's been done by atleast Renault or even better a specialist, not some random garage round the corner.

As said by peanut, the cambelt is key as to when it was last done and where.

£600 roughly all in to be done by a specialist, at least you know it's been done properly.

Mileage isn't too much of a factor with these as long as it has good service history.

The only thing with the first one is that in a year or so it will have 100,000 miles on the clock.

Just back from taking the second one out. belts were done at 33k, so will be due again within the year. Slight squeak under acceleration, think it had gone by the time the engine had warmed up, or I'd gone deaf. It has a scorpion exhaust, so shouldn't have problems there. Only other thing was it was creaky when moving slowly through the car park: never driven one of these before today, so not sure if it's a normal sound. The silence when I drove home in the Punto was deafening though...

Cheers for your input so far!

David.

first one has loads of history at renault including cam belt change brakes and lower arms!

Do you get to just whack in the reggie and check? lol

Both seem to have had the work done, and I can't see much difference for the £500. Second one is immaculate apart from the alloys. But they'd be getting powdercoated anyway.

You can get a full fat one for that money... You will spend a fortune on both to get them up to scratch..

Out the 2 I like the Silver one :)

I like the second one, however FSH at the last 3 cars I've looked at from dealers was just a lie.

BeXE's Blue 182 in the Sales section does look good, for the same price range, just a shame it's in Oxfordshire: a 6 hour drive. :(

Budget is around 4k, but that has to include insurance at around £700 for two of us, and mot and tax money if it's due soon.

Problem with having a woman having equal input is that she "must have" the 182's twin exhaust...
