How much would I be looking at to get my car converted to studs?
Can you get Blue Anodized studs?

I've got 2118's so just thought they would look quite good and as my car is sticking to a Blue/Anthra theme I'm liking the idea of it,

Any suggestipons on where to get and what kits are best?

Cheers
Andy.

Buy them from rally designs.

Can pick the kits bit by bit, but they don't do anodised nuts.

Do you reckon it would look good or naff??

I'm hoping it would look good but just unsure.

i think blue nuts would look stupid and if i had the time again doing my car i would ever have put stud in

Personally I'd not go for anoidised ones, think it may look a bit tacky, unless they were anodised black or something...

The rally deisgns stuff is quite good quality, i bought some for a mock up college project I'm doing at the minute.

Whats the benefit/point of a conversion?

Easier to change wheels and run spacers, wheel sits straight on them and stay on while you mess fitting the nuts, instead of balancing it on and finding a hole for the original bolts.

Just makes it that bit easier.

Maybe I should just leave it for the JDM Boys then and think about it again once I get a DC5

how did they damage your hubs all they do is replace the bolts with a threaded bar and a nut :S i had a stud conversion on my old Clio after i snapped two bolts of in the hubs the car was fine after i had the stud conversion

The reason I intend to do this. Also running 15mm spacers all round, so will be a hell of a lot easier!

You know what Andy, when I saw that you had posted a reply when checking back I knew it would be something silly!! Ha. Evening squire :)

My Wheels will be coming off in the upcoming weeks to change Rear Disks, Pads and Paint the Rear Calipers and Fit Rear Braided Lines so its only right I spend a few hours scrubbing and sealing the wheels while I'm at it :)

Ah good lad, mine had a full coat of wax today, Natty's on the paint work and collinites on the wheels and windows, came up a treat :approve:

Good Stuff... Some of us common folk had to work today and also had no spare time all weekend to clean the cars so mine is utterly disgusting :(

be careful with cheap studs, i've seen them strech and snap and all sorts

price up a set of studs from R-sport and you'll see what i mean!!

I bought a stud kit and sent it back as I didn't like the look of it. I ended up buying ford studs (rallydesign do several lengths), drilling the hubs 1/2", and pressing the studs in. More work, but a more professional job.
