Stupid Limp mode.

  Clio 182 cup
Hey guys and girls.

Ive been having some trouble with the cup and starting to get fed up with the s****y thing.
It keeps going into limp mode when I give it a lead boot full.
To begin with the guys down at rentech believed it to be the throttle body or the throttle pedal.
So I replaced them and To no progress as it is still all the same, engine management light comes on every three times it Goes into limp mode and then turns its self off after a couple of hours.

Don't no if anyone else has got any ideas of what it could be or had any problems like this before ?

Want to book some track days soon and really dont eant to waste my money for a day on the track if all it's gonna do it bugger me about and go into limp mode.

But on the plus side my Bimacro futura buckets just turned up

Any help or suggestions would be brilliant and helpful to get this bloody car fixed so it can be driven properly again not like it's made out of glass:(

Badtimes mate, I had the same issue and replaced throttle pedal etc but it actually turned out to be wiring loom from throttle.

WestsRenault in Cambridge sorted mine and very quickly, would highly recommend

Give me a PM if you need anymore info

Mine would pull you about with a jolting motion then drop into limp mode when u occasionally put the foot Dow . Replaced coilpack and plugs. Was fine from that moment onwards and only cost about 50 quid for plugs and a pack.

Yer I've replaced leads plugs and coilpack at rentech and solved it but it's back again I got a feeling it wiring because the fuse box in the engine bay is shot to pieces and the fuses move about could this be a cause ? Also could the generic map be any concern ?
Jonny was it a exspensive fix if it is that ?

It was quite pricey but it sorted the problem! Think it was more the labour that bumped the cost

Worth contacting Wests though and speaking to Tom (from service)
