Sub not working :(

  No wheels :(
Just got my new Amp...

Alpine - MRV-T222

But it wont play my Sub through it...

Its only a 10" alpine S type, and i got it going for about 20mins, then turned the car off and it hasnt played since...

Didnt even have the sub loud then :(

Headunit is a Alpine - CDA-9855R, and wont play the Sub through it but did before...

Kinda going for an All Alpine set up :)

Might get some Components from them too...

HELP!!!

Check the fuses i had this trouble on my old car sub kept cutting in and out it was a poor earth. Just un screw all wires from amp power etc and make sure there all reconnected properly....

check your remote cable, power cable. rca cables, earth cable, speeker wires and your fuses

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
fuses, both one in the line and in the amp
remote, attached at both ends
amp, is it powering on
earth, is the amp earthed,
cable, has the speaker cable come off the sub/out the amp
RCA, attatched to the amp??

could be one of many things

does the sub moove freeling in and out of you push it down

Quite likely to be the fuse i think.

My mate had the same thing when he got his two alpine type r subs installed.
Now he keeps a spare fuse with him all the time!

Yeah i have drilled a hole in the chasis and riveted the earth in, just behind the rear seats.

Can you fuse still go even if the amp has power??

There is an LED on the amp which comes on, but nothing comes out of it...

Sub moves nicely, and tested it on another amp which is my mates and it works fine...

Maybe the headunit has a faulty pre-out??

Or is it an alternative function on the headunit which i need to turn on??

I'll try changing the fuses, where can i get them from?? How much are they??

Please help me as this is really starting to annoy me... :(

Cheers, Sam

silly question, on the head unit it should have 2 pre-outs and a sub out. Which one have you clicked the RCA onto? Have you turned it up on the head unit if it is the sub pre-out? Have you re-traced the wires to make sure there is nothing wrong there?

Yeah you can switch it on and off, but its on, should it be on before its attatched?? or off??

I have connected it to the Sub pre - out, but nothing :(

Really starting to Annoy me... :(
