sub remote wire

I have bought a sub and all the wiring from halfords and i aint payin them 40 quid to guess how to wire it up so...i am wondering where to wire the remote wire to. I hfve a cd changer in the boot bot i can operate it when the key isnt in so i dont think that will work. Could i find a low voltage wire on the back of the head unit and wire a switch into it or is there a simpler way.

Yeh have a look in the manual for the HU, should have a diagram with every cable, normally blue iirc.

yes it is normally blue on mine it had a lable on the back of the head unit saying the colours and what they were, and on the remote it had a tag

Its a standard hu so no obvious remote plug

Wire it to the cigarette lighter with a switch mate. Saves you messing around behind the dash too much as well.

Lol. I saw a guy from halfords completely stumped by some security bolts holding on number plate. He then proceeded to tell the customer that she couldn't get her plate changed because it was permanently fixed on....

Let's not pretend that working athalfords means you have any knowledge whatsoever.

He wasnt even getting arsey in the first place.

I'm not hvin a go i'm juat goin on previous experiences.
Took a guy at my local halfords two days to fit a new head unit and wire up a sub, and it was a really shoddy job.
But i was probably unlucky getting this moron.
Nothing against anyone who works at halfords 90% of the time they are extremely helpful.
