Subframe Braces

Does anyone just remove these and run without?

These things:

You dont have these on the MK1s, not really sure what they do, maybe something to do with crash?

This would be on a track car/weekend toy.

Its further bracing which will reduce the flex in the chassis like the installation of a PMS front strut brace which ties into the top mounts or a rear strut brace which ties into the rear struts.
Why are you wanting to remove them unless bolts have been snapped......

so close to the subframe and floorpan? I'd be interested to see the impact.

I'll be honest, im rebuilding all of the car and not actually sure where i put these, and trying to work out if i am going to buy more.

Id run them personally, they dont weigh much.

V6 has them doubled up each side iirc, i have same setup on my trophy.
