subframes help!

how the hell do you take out the subframe near the handbrake? under the car the bolts are covered by a heatshield?

any help?

thats incorrect, i have a mk2 ph1 and mine had holes in the heatshielding all i needed was a 13mm long reach socket.

ill get pictures of it tomorrow for you

The holes are there. you might need to unbolt the heart shield if your has a copy cat heat shield which doesn't have the holes.
