Subs

What way is it best for them to face. UPwards, FRONTwards or BACKwards.
I mean the whole box ?

In other words. Is it best for the subs to face the front of the car ,the roof or the back of car :-)

And why?

if you face them to the back of the car, as they hit bass, they make the car go quicker! :P on a more serious note, i'm not too sure... sorry!

In my experience they seem better if they are playing through the car - whether they are facing in or out however I'm not sure about...

It doesn't matter what way they are facing, they will still give the same amount of bass.

You can alter the amount of bass slightly by putting the actual sub itself "arse-in" or "arse-out" (usualy requires a custom enclosure though)

ATM mine are facing To the front of the car. But it sounds worse then it did when it faced up. I think its cuz i removed the boot liner and stuff.

it's supposed to be better having the cone facing the boot in a small hatchback.

don't know why but there was a disscusion on talkaudio about it lol

which ever way they face you won't alter the amount of bass but you might the sq

doesnt really matter as a back seats not going to stop any bass atall, but facing them to the rear is how i have mine

I face mine towards bootlid. Didn't sound much different either way though.

My cone is tilted "arse-out" upwards facing towards the rear wiper.
My enclosure is built to enable me to flip my sub around too :)

on the side of my amp's it has all theses lil nobs. What shall i do with them lol.

How do i know when its on 80:-S
Well it goes from 30 - 320 ..gonna be hard to be accurate with it, id put it half way between 30 and 1/4 of the way round and see how that sounds...ie just above 30

Done :-) What about the 'gain' knob

Turn the volume rd on the h/u till u think its at its max with no audible distortion, then turn the gain up from minimum till your happy with the ammount of bass.
Dont over do it thou ...
