Supagard

Did anyone else other than me get their car supagarded? mine was done inside and out for £125.

Problem i have is with my car being black its well bloody manky at the moment, no longer really wanting to clean car as it just leaves swirl marks etc but question is can i go get car power washed without risking taking the supagard off?

P.s. also want it to be noted that the muppet at Parks who applied it scratched my roof

I would always recommend you handwash your car. My parents take their cars to the carwash when Im not around to clean them, and it just takes off the layers of wax I spend days applying! It also scratches the paintwork.

If you give your car a good wax treatment, it should come up great for months if you just wash and dry it with a chamois cloth.

Ive had it done too, only had the car a week so not thought about cleaning it yet lol it does need doing though as those pesky bugs are all over the front.

Did you get instructions with it?

If you need a panel repaired at any time, do they re-supaguard that panel for you for FREE?

i should have got instructions dash but dealer couldnt find them! might just e-mail the actual company and ask them, to be honest the £125 even if it doesnt last the 3 years wasnt to expensive as well they fully valeted the car, cleaned wheels, dressed tyres and sort of scotch guard stuff for the interior works, but to answer you i think if say you had a smash you will have to get it redone

I got the super guard stuff, but as of yet have been too lazy to apply it.

The wheel cleaner is brilliant though, but the shampoo is crap

well the Supaguard (cheaper brand than diamondbrite) consists of a 2 stage polish. The first stage (looks like water) prepares the surface by getting rid of most contiminants, this is left to dry for 15 mins at least before applying stage 2 on top (no stage 1 isnt buffed off). This is a polish / sealer which looks like normal polish. The 2 are left for as long as poss (at least 1/2 hour) to "bond" together before being buffed off.

When you have this done you should be given a bottle of "conserver" which is added to a bucket of water and wiped over the car every 3-6 months to top up the protection.

The scotchguard is sprayed from a can onto the fabrics of the interior, this is supposed to stop stains and make wiping the dirt away more easy (same stuff as used on home suites)

I used to work at a dealers who bought the kits for £25 each (1 would do 2 cars) and only sell it applied for £199 for normal cars but charge £299 for Jaguar customers
