mine ran 185.5 with just over 650 miles on it... i'd be amazed if it didn't run more if i rr'd it again now it has more miles under its belt

15bhp for 299 quid... i'm a little sceptical

yeah same with all cars, tight engines and all, id bet some of them will make more than 197 once u start hitting 40k miles etc.

Doubt the 197's are putting out 197 hp. But then I doubt my 172 puts out 172 hp!

The 197 lump as whole is a peach!!! I do feel there is a slight dead spot @ around 2.5 k but i'm sure a remap would sort this. More refined and less starined than the 172/182 engines further up the rpm range.

the 197 is ps and not bhp though. which is what, 194bhp?

I'd expect a 10-15 bhp increase with this - PLUS - a high flow air filter, sports CAT and replacement exhaust. My old 172 made 161 bhp at the wheels with a Superchip and the above mods. Well worth a try, felt a lot better.
