Clio 182
Getting a very faint ticking noise on the front left side of the car, can hear it in neutral but is slightly more noticeable under load. I did think it might be the inner CV as it popped out while I was fitting new dampers, boot slipped a bit but I just shoved it back in and crossed my fingers that itd be fine ?
If it is the wheel bearing, I'm not sure which one I'll need (seems there's a cup and smaller non-cup version). Issue is confused because I was sold my current setup on ebay advertised as "cup dampers" and they fit fine - but I'm now reading posts which say that the cup dampers (182) will not fit a non-cup.
What can I do to find out whether I have the cup hub other than popping the CV joint out to measure the bearing? I'd rather not do the job twice
