Suspension advice

I have a feeling I'm gonna need some new shocks soon.....

at the moment I have stock shocks with Apex 40mm springs.

If I have them checked out and they are worn should I:

a)buy standard shocks and go back to standard springs ?

b)standard shocks and put apex's on again- won't this wear them out prematurley?

c)dig REALLY deep and import some Apex shocks from the UK.....?

Defining what is a worn shock can be diffculty they become less and less good all the time so you could argue at 20k they are worn.

Life span of shock is difficult to say using aftermarket spring will wear them quicker but so many things have an effect My stock shocks with stock spring were worn at 55k others have had 80k on stock shocks and aftermarket springs.

Personnally I'd spend some money on suspension get some coilovers or least matching springs and dampers.

standard dampers with apex springs (possibly the only set for a clio in SA) :-D
