As im a little slow when it comes to all this moddng lark.....

if i was to purchase these (seem them posted on forum alot)
Eibach Extra Low Sportline Spring

should i also consider new shock absorbers? if so which ones would you recommend for the above springs.... will be used for normal road usage.

last question honest.

Can the springs/shocks be fitted easily by myself or would you recommend garage or even pro body shop ?? if so what would be the guess cost of fitting?

cheers for your help guys.

The springs will 'work' with standard dampers but will be a lot better with uprated/shorter stroke dampers. The standard dampers are designed to work over the longer stroke of the standard spring and also not designed for the uprated spring rate of the eibachs. If you want to use standard dampers then the eibach pro springs are a better bet. If you buy a set of sportline springs and some uprated dampers you're looking at a similar price to a set of entry level coil-overs. I'd go for a set of pro springs or a set of coil-overs mate.

was considering the coli-overs but dont they need to be -configured/setup for best performance?

Depending how confident you are etc I'd say get a garage to do them.

Fitment is about 2 hours.

I cannot recomend any normal aftermarket shocks I've yet to be impressed by any of them there alll to cheap since the market for decinet stuff isn't there.

Springs alone will be fine the shocks will wear quicker and the ride won't be ideal since the shocks arn't desinged to work with different springs.

Coilovers idealy need to be setup but depends how much you want to spend fitment say 1 hour more than normal springs and dampers as you've got to decide the ride height you want then ideal get a garage to check and adjust the cameber to say stock toe in etc and say 1 degree of camber depends on usage specialts will do a full setup costs a lot though £140 or so I think they are ie Mark fisk and they will set the height corner weight the car etc.

ok, im looking to get the springs I know eibach do two types which one is recommened by cliosport members?

I have been reading a little more into all this and feel that maybe my dampers are on way out any ways as car bounces badley on bumpy roads so with that in mind what dampers would your recommned to go with the suggest eibachs (not colilovers (cant afford to get setup as well :( ))

cheers for your helps guys in advance

I'ds stick with stock dampers realy. I've not been impressed with any other damper alone kits.

cheers edde again, if i did stay with stock i appreciate the normal damper get worn out quicker, whats the net effect of them failing completley? anon road worthy car?

As dampers wear they become less good at damping so its like being on a water bed/pogostick if you get the anthology the car slow down at being able to stop moving up and won when you hit a bump as it should do.
