So the rear dampers on my trophy went. Car drove like a pig and felt like the rear was detached from the car. Purchased a new set and fitted them today. Massive difference and she's driving even better than before

Very easy to fit and well worth it (apart from the price of the Sachs dampers!)

Out of curiosity, how much is it for a rear set of dampners?

Ouch, not looking forward to that when it comes to replace them on my T.

Mines on 58k and that's them only just gone now. Not a cheap part but now the car feels great

Any idea what causes the rears to go mate?

Age more than anything. The seals will perish over time as with anything. Those new ones should see you a good few years yet
