Suspension Geometry/Set Up

If anyone needs their suspension looking at then I cannot recommend these guys highly enough, just had the "Cup Cars" suspension sorted, happy as Larry....not Grayson though (showing my age). Ask for Tony Barber and mention me, Jonathan with the Clio race car and hopefully you'll get looked after.

I got my MX5 done here.

Their kit is very impressive indeed, but they weren't too interested in helping me out with my coilovers. In fairness they distribute Gaz so probably don't care for setting up Tein stuff correctly, but why not just tell me instead of altering the heights on each corner by different amounts and then doing the geo based on that....

Won't go there again personally, but if you're just after a geo there's nothing wrong with WIM.

Regardless of make, thats stupid. Why the hell did they alter all the heights ? to correct, or in-correct the ride heights ?

Any idea what ride height your rolling?

Sorry, as it came out of the box from TCR.

Shame, should have had a polite word, always going to be times when things go wrong.

  RS2'ed 172 Cup
Had my Cup set up at WIM, Although i think Camber Bolts at the bottom and Adjustable Camber / Caster on the top mounts possibly confused them a bit.

Looks like a decent place, pity their soo far away from me, I'll have to hunt for a decent place north of the border when I get my coilovers

When I fitted them I put them all to nearing as low as they'd go (without hitting the bumpstops) and I crushed a chassis rail, scratched the exhaust and tore the mudflaps off. It needed raising a little:eek:

But still, they just took the preload off so it rode a lot softer which wasn't what I wanted.

I didn't know what they'd done until I was 200 miles away and back at work. Couldn't really do anything about it.

Definitely, but at the same time, it just gave me the impression they know nothing about suspension settings, and are just a tyre fitting shop with a fancy alignment rig (anyone could do geo setups according to on screen instructions).

I went there and told them exactly what I wanted and they did that very well, perhaps if you'd done the same......remember they deal with what must be hundreds of different cars, I'm sure that given all the relevant information they could deliver the goods.

Im sure when I took my 172 there a few months back it was only £45.
This is the place in Chesham right.

Got to say really great guys there. Took my car in on the day without appointment and got the toe-in problem sorted quickly. They have a nice waiting area with sky tv on a big plasma, all the car mags and a coffee machine.

They also do tyres and suspension stuff too.
