Suspension refresh

  Recaro'd 182
Looking to do a suspension refresh on the front shocks. Replace the wishbones, track rod ends, ball joints etc and all bolts at the same time.
Can someone post up the dialogs page with the parts for a clio 182 ff

Many thanks,

I just had a look for an exploded diagram of the whole lot but couldn't find one. Are you after specific part numbers?

Thats a break down of a 182 FF from renaults catalogue. Tell me what picture you looking at and part indication number and I'll try and supplier you a dealer number.

Has anyone on here gone through this process? Just wondering how much you're looking at to replace the lot?

Cost me roughly about 450ish

That was for: New shocks all round, New top mounts, Cooksport springs, new wishbones, trackrods, arb bushes, steering rack bushes.

That's actually pretty reasonable! Not interested in coilovers as I know you need to spend a grand or so to get anything half decent!

Hi guys,
got a question about.
I did change most of the parts you showed on the exploded drawing above. (top mounts, bushes nuts etc)
but why still having bad noises from there?? when I hit someting on the road I can still hearing noises..
Everithing is new!!
would you recommend change those mounts for fixed ones?? ktech racing, KR perhaps?
I hate that noise!
any advise would be appreciate

Yeah - just then there is always the risk you want to change the poundage of the springs etc too..
I'll be trying to stick to a plan as I know that the second you start chasing power and or seconds round a track you're on a very slippery slope :)

There are a few threads on here if you search for the likes of "knocking new struts" etc etc.

A few people talk of the new bearing set up not being right and needing an old top nut and washer.

Might be worth stripping and rebuilding just to make sure everything is right?

Whilst not miles away from £1k I thought Bilstein B14s were around £700-800.
less than £500 for B14s:
Below are the links to the 54mm(172 and 182) and 60mm(cup and trophy and cup packed 182s) ones .

54mm ones part number (
47-087750)

60mm ones

you can google the part numbers in bold and this will reassure you about the 54 and 60 mm.

MK-fahrwerkstechnik.de is a quality supplier. will be sent DHL and you have nothing to worry about. quick delivery.
Go for it. I fitted my Bilsteins last weekend and they are superb.
Dont wait around as they are really cheap right now with the euro/gbp exchange rate. Will be around £500 which is £300 cheaper than all the UK suppliers.

Jesus, I am tempted to get a set at that price. Hopefully the rears will last longer than stock items with the improved damper technology in Bilsteins that are B6 and above!

However, just how harsh are they compared to a stock 172 suspension setup and say a lowered Cup setup? I had Billies before in a 205 GTi (Group A inserts up front with Group N B6s on the rear) and that car was lovely! It could possibly have done with more damping up front but then it was on Gravel spec dampers up front!

No, no don't tell me! Damn my cambelt! It shall be due in late April although the belts have only covered 35k...

Can vouch for @optical 's link as we both ordered at the same time.

Their service was spot on, very German!

They're absolutely perfect for a road car too, I don't get any comments about my car being harsh on the road at all.
