Mine dropped -50mm on BBPT springs, the torsion bar lowered to match, with koni adjustables all round. Complete with a K-Tec Strut brace, the handling is amazing!
Springs - £75delivered with club discount
Shocks - £285 from Demon Tweeks with club discount
Front Strut Brace - £99ish delivered from K-Tec Racing with club discount
Got everything fitted for £50, but had to get Demon Tweeks to lower the torsion bar, as they were the only ones round my way who could do it....£123!
All in all, over £600!
(Notice the hint there, pay a fiver to join and youll save a lot more in the long run! )
if after uprating your suspension you are thinking of lowering your car, make sure you lower the front slightly lower then the back. Alot of these so called "tuners" lower your back and front so its scraping along to floor thinking they have done a good job - when infact its totally screw the road holding / balance of your car.
The rear torsion bar doesnt really need lowered much more over standard ride height. (if your looking for performance of course - not looks)
Nick hill has his clio 16v setup just right, if peeps here think there clio corners well with the ride height level through out - wait until you have been in his.
My clio is lower at the front, then the back and i really have to push it to understeer with std struts. This is all to change soon but make sure you get your car done by someone who knows what there doing.
Oh right. yer when i get my decat and air filter im gunna be taking a trip uo to nick to get a chip. so i might get the lot done there. im gunna be on a bit of a budget though so anyone recomend a good set up for 250 - 350 inc fitting. maybe a little more if it will make it a nicer ride.??? oh the car is on 17s as well
