Swan Renault (Worthing)

  Ph-Sold!

Im so damn annoyed, after much messing about with trying to get my car booked in and a courtesy car when they obviously didnt wanna give me one.

Picked up a somewhat horrid example Clio 1.2 16V for the day, with a huge crack in the windscreen, I noticed the rear bumper was scratched when I got to work, phoned them straight away to make sure it had been noticed in the PDI, she said theyd made all the notes on it. All Ive done today has been 45 miles dual carriageway driving and had the car parked in full view at work all day long.

When I dropped it off I pointed out the scratch and they totally accused me of it, saying it wasnt there when I got it, why would I have pointed it out if Id done it?! and that I couldnt have been paying attention to it and not driving carefully (odd seeing as Ive done 3,500miles in mine in the last 6 weeks, and its pretty much an identical car) and that I was basically threatened for it, although he said he didnt think "any course of action would be taken on this ocassion" Its just the principle of the thing, I took even more car of that car than I did my own and to be accused of that is wholley unacceptable, with 1,500 miles on the clock, to be in that condition Im sure some people havent looked after it, but I love my cars and would never let something happen to it without knowing!

They havent even mended the gearbox and the supposed sunroof rattling fix has made no difference!

Im gonna have to phone someone tomorrow, cant let this one rest!

One very annoyed Clio owner!

Tim

The people in Swan renualt are complete t**sers, they havent got a clue about anything.

The service department is possibly the worst of its kind in the uk.

Fight your case, you may win.

You had problems with them too Aaron?

Does anyone know the legal limit to which a windscreen can be cracked before its illegal?

Depends where the crack is I think. If its in the drivers line of vision, then a "huge crack" is definitely illegal...

Hmm left hand side right from the edge (checked under the rubber) about midway up and stretching at least 1.5ft across into the right of the screen! No seriously, it was that big (no innuendos please, I know what youre all like! ;))

Yeah, their parts service are just terrible. The guy is on a different planet most of the time, so stuck by policy and red tape hes like a machine, makes no sense at all.
