Original RS boot badge too - mine bent like a banana over the years, probably due to heat from the sun.

Whereabouts on A-U-L? That's my home town. :)

I must've been out on social duties , but I myself am based in Littlemoss, just in between Droylsden and A-U-L. Really highlights the length us folk have to go to in order to escape T(sh)ameside!

I know Littlemoss - I was originally penned to go to Littlemoss High School back in '86 when I was leaving primary school, though ended up going to Stamford High School. Both have been demolished now from what I can gather?

I was in Crowhill, near where the current Curzon Ashton football club is. My parents still live there.

Littlemoss was only demolished fairly recently - it merged with Manor Rd High to become Droylsden Academy (which I attended) in 2009. Both sites were open concurrently for a few years, with the two early years attending Littlemoss until 2011 when the Littlemoss Site was demolished and we all moved into the new build on Manor Rd, Droylsden.

If I remember correctly, Stamford was also demolished but a new build was built on the same site, under the New Charter Academy banner (Academies everywhere!), and is still going to this day.

Ironically, they're now building yet another Academy + Sixth form on the site of the old Littlemoss School, which spells misery for my morning commute if nothing more considering I'm on it's doorstep.

I must've walked past your parents many a time on the way to the pubs in Ashton on a Saturday. :)

My sister has just moved to littlemoss. Lives on the street where one of the site entrances is to the new academy is being built. Lumb lane I think. You can see it all going up out her back window.

She'll only be a stones throw away from myself then - either directly opposite me or round the corner. Hopefully the sound of me whizzing past isn't enough to put her off the greenery of Littlemoss.

Used to know the lad who's family had the farm on the corner of Lumb Lane - that backs onto the old Littlemoss High School/now academy.

David Cook was his name - was i my class at school. One of my other classmates moved onto Woodleigh Drive too, which could be the same street you're mentioning?
