The girlfriend is having some knocking issues with her 54 plate 182 and i'm now thinking it's tailgate related. The tailgate I think needs resetting as the boot spoiler sometimes grinds on the roof as you open it. However the thing i noticed last night is that the loop for the boot catch (the section thats attached to the slam panel of the car) seems to have a lot of up and down movement (1cm or more) is this normal? As I think this may be causing the knock.....
