Tailpipes looking a bit better

They have been bugging me since i got the car and they really were in a bad state so i put a couple hours aside today to have a go at correcting them by hand:dead: A drill would be ideal and would have given a far better finish but tbh i just wanted them looking 'better' as im going to be taking it up to Davekg for a full detail shortly anyway.

Products used :

- Autosol
- Wire wool
- AG metal polish
- Gloves


Heres how they looked after washing the car:dead: Btw please ignore the ''black'' honeycomb grille - they need some attention too and im going to be using some 'Black Wow' for this.

Right hand side tailpipe done and looking quite good Not a perfect finish due to working by hand by none the less , much better

Nice work - you should seal in your hard work with the Britemax Metal Sealant though - works wonders, they will just wipe clean for months.

Black Wow has mixed results, depending on the plastic. I find it crap on Renault plastics- give GTechniq C1 a look - £35 for about 30ml, but it's AWESOME.

There's that other metal wax stuff that DaveKG used and I believe Blackfire do one too.

I really hate plastic trims, but after seeing Emerald Detailing apply some of the GT stuff to a Ferrari 355, I was impressed. Months of durability too.

I always use alloy wheel cleaner on exhaust tips - pretty much removes most of the crap that builds up and doesn't take long.
