Taking cold feed out and putting fog light back in... Help

  clio 182
Wanting to take this out

IMG_0382.jpg

and return to the standard caf... The previous owner put the cold air feed set up on the car n he supplied the valve but don't know if it's worth putting the valve back on?
Was thinking just returning it to the standard cafs. Where do they go? Just sit behind headlight? Any1 any pics so I can see?
Is it worth just shorting the caf pipe n leaving there?

Any help would b good. Ta

All I've got, hope it's of some use?

Shows how both the feeds are connected to the airbox

The feed that goes down the arch is connected to the top of the v/v shown in the picture below.

Your best of leaving the pipe just pushing it out of the fog light hole and leaving it there behind the fog light as its the same place as the standard one would be. The valve restricts air flow more than helps it, they designed it to make it sound quite.

depends if they have damaged the fog plate thingy (black bit). You might need a new one. Woudn't bother putting the acoustic valve back. Makes no difference what so ever imo.

am not putting the valve back on, pointless well from what ive read it seems it

Just remove the air feeds on the standard box.

Doesn't have much/any effect on performance

heat soak?

I'm guessing you are still using the standard airbox? If so I'd put the standard feeds back on it as it'll then take any air from behind the headlight. I wouldn't have thought you'll get any real heat soak without them or feel any gain with them but you never know.

1 feed runs under the airbox and clips into the metal plate to the right. and the other just points towards the wheel arch and connects onto your acoustic valve, which you should leave off.

its the bronze/gold pipe sticking out of the corner, at about 45 degrees between the black bit on the throttle body and the renault sport bit

if left off engine will in effect have an air leak and will idle at around 1000rpm

hope this helps
