Tappets.. Noisy!!

Hey all, My tappets are noisy when the car is warmed up. You cant hear it when in the car but you can when you got the bonnet open

Any way to make them quiet down a bit?

i brought it 2 months ago and it came with a service..Im thinking maybe he put in some s**t oil?

Surely that'd only happen if the wrong type of oil was used?

Think il just change the oil next week when i get paid for peace of mind

Any advice on any oil flushes and i was reading about hydraulic tappet stuff you can buy in a car or something? :S

If you have the bonnet open & it's noisy I don't think it's that bad really. If the bonnet was closed & you could hear them i'd look into it further.

well when the bonnet is closed you cant really hear it.. just when you increase the revs you can hear them just.. and i mean just!!

Wouldn't worry about it then mate, they are all rattly pieces for french tat!

yeah my old saxo vts used to rattle bad so im guessing its french engines lol, but il change the oil next week

Anything 5w 40. I always go Silkolene.
